Annoyed by the harsh winters in which the inhabitants of Druud were barely able to survive, but also by the hot summers in which the South invaders torched the lands, a young stormcrafter named Disruptor learns the secrets of controlling the weather. The clan of Oglodi, living in the uplands of Druud was the followers of a great civilization, now struggling to resist invasions and harsh weather. They are a fallen tribe which inherited secret knowledge that it can barely understand. For people living in this area of the world, the weather has become a worshipping concept, being the bringer and taker of life. Rains are useful for providing the everyday food, but in this part of the world, it comes with lighting which sometimes kills many.
Disruptor is small compared with his kind, but he is fearless and always curious. His curiosity is taken to extremes, as he usually puts his life into danger just to find out what is behind that tree, that hill, that wall. While he was a teenager, he liked to explore the ruins of ancient cities, searching pieces of technology and books which would allow him to understand the culture of his precursors. This is how he learned how to control electricity, being able to bring storm whenever he wanted.
